The Duty Officer functions as the shift supervisor and manages the daily operations of the fire department.
They are comprised of the senior staff of the fire department and oversee six fire stations throughout the city.
Their office is located at Fire Station #1 on the first floor of the City Building.
The operations division responds to roughly 4,000 calls for service annually.

Training Division

Training Officer – Lieutenant Jason Fleak

The training office is responsible for the following:

• probationary firefighters receive in-house training for 3 months
• firefighters are required to complete a 3-year apprenticeship program
• firefighters routinely conduct proficiency drills in a multitude of skills
• Emergency Medical Technician continuing education is conducted in-house
